The Judges of the Cafe Choice Award are pleased to announce the presentation of this highly rated award:

is awarded to member

JOHN E

for his image

"Home to Roost"

From the Judges:

"The silhouette of a Snowy Egret roosting in a tree. A familiar subject but in this case those beautifully warm colours of the sunset along with the textures of the foliage turn a simple composition into a top class image. The bird sits squarely on the lower and right third lines in a perfect profile and the foliage wraps around to create a natural frame. The depth of field used keeps the bird and the tree razor sharp whilst the background is soft and restful.

Congratulations John" from the Judges.

Many congratulations on being awarded this accolade John, long overdue in my opinion.

I know I'm not alone when I say I have admired this photograph for as long as I have been here at  PC

D'ya know, there is something that I thought (at the time) but never got around to stating, and that was about the little dot of light in the gap between neck and body. Strange how something so small makes a big difference - even in this stunning image.
