Many congratulations Les on being awarded this honour of "Cafe Choice Award" for your Photograph "Engine Shed" which is a remarkable shot the B&W is so well balanced.

This was a picture that really grabbed my attention when it came to the Gallery. Such a sense of atmosphere I could almost smell the grease and coal smoke.

I really like this picture. It truly makes you feel like you are in the past. Well done, I'm glad you didn't try go for sepia with this, that would just have made it look as if you were trying too hard to make it look old. This way, it simply looks old but also cleaner. Sepia generally looks face IMHO so this picture shows its quality better.

A big thank you to the judges and everybody who has commented. I am really pleased with the "Cafe Award" means a lot, this was a challenging shot in the first place and even before taking it I new it had to be in mono. The smoke from the engine helped diffuse the lights a little just enough, even more important to me is I have spent the last few months try to improve my mono images so for the judges to comment on the conversion is the icing on the cake for me.
