Well I have been on FLickr since december and I can honestly say, that there are Canon users moving over to Nikon, which strikes me as to how strong Nikon kit is in the market. In particular the D90 and D300 levels.

Survey Says...
CANON Thumb Up

My Olymous E-500 does me proud on every shoot.  Batteries charged, lenses clean, all ready for a corporate Christmas function tomorrow...

I have to agree with Zoot. If you had tryed picking up an Olympus E series in the shop, Camera you would now of been an Olympian. Olympus

When I was looking for my first dSLR, I also looked at Olympus and even toyed with the idea of getting one.  The self-cleaning imager and the live view feature of the E330 appealed to me, but the Oly's high ISO performance wasn't nearly as good as that of the Canon 350D, the model I finally got.  (The Canon 400D had already come out, but was more expensive and I was pinching pennies.)  I would also have had trouble getting wide-aperture lenses for the Oly, which was much less of a problem with the Canon.  Because I was getting a dSLR to shoot in low ambient light, these two shortcomings of the Olympus system were deal breakers for me.
