Terms and Conditions
for the use of the
Photography Cafe Website

• Nudity
  Photography Cafe is a family oriented site with children as members. We, therefore, have a strict NO NUDITY policy which also covers suggestive or similar forms of glamour photography.
   
• Personal Albums
  Photography Cafe is a free site and each member is allowed to register one account only.   Any member registering more than once will have subsequent registrations and galleries removed. 
   
• Uploading Images
  For free Basic Membership, each member may load up to 3 images a day into their own gallery up to a maximum personal gallery capacity of 10MB.  Premium memberships are offered at modest cost enabling members to upload more than 3 per day and with greater gallery space capacity.   Photos posted in the gallery must be 250KB or less in size and we suggest a pixel size of 800-900 pixels on the longest size for ease of viewing on most computer screens.
   
• Site Participation
  Members are encouraged to play the fullest part in the life of the Cafe--through the Gallery, the Forum and the Shoutbox.   Helpful ideas, comments and constructive critique are welcome.  Courtesy and consideration toward fellow members is expected and any blatantly derogatory comments will be removed by the Cafe Moderators and Administrators.  Failure to comply with this simple requirement may result in being temporarily banned from the Cafe or if repeated after due warnings, a total ban from Photography Cafe.
   
• Advice and validity of posts
  The Café does not actively monitor posts and is not responsible for their validity or content. We do not warrant the accuracy of any information posted.  Postings express the views of the member and are not necessarily the views of Photography Cafe.  Members remain solely responsible for the content of their posts.
   
• Offensive Photos
  In addition our no-nudity policy, any photograph that is deemed to be offensive may be removed at the discretion of the Administrators.  Any member may report a photograph as offensive and if the report is found to be justified, the photograph will be removed within a reasonable time and the poster notified with an appropriate caution.   Continued posting of such photographs will result in the member concerned being banned on a temporary or permanent basis as required.
   
• Links to other websites
  Photography Cafe may include links to websites that are owned and maintained by members and other third parties.  Members are solely responsible for exercising due care in posting links, bearing in mind that this is a family site. Links to such sites do not constitute an endorsement by Photography Cafe which is not responsible for the content of such sites.
   
• Complaints
  Any complaints against another member must be addressed to an Administrator and not in a person’s photo gallery, a forum or in the Shoutbox. Disputes and problems will be handled privately in a fair and discreet manner so as not to disrupt the Cafe.
   
• Competitions 
  Main competition rules can be read here.  Specific competition rules, having to do with the individual competition, are posted on each occasion.   We have a basic rule that entries should have titles but are anonymous and not previously posted in the Gallery or elsewhere in the Cafe.   Infringement of this rule will result in removal of the entry.
   
• Copyright
  Members should usually only upload photos that they have taken themselves, and for which they own the copyright. However, members may upload other photos, providing they have the legal right to do so, and they must clearly state the true source and ownership in the photo information.  All photographs and images remain the copyright and property of the owner.
   
• Ask permission to modify images
  Any modification of images posted by members may only be carried out with the express permission or by invitation of the member concerned.  This rule does not apply to Fun Stuff or similar competitions where manipulation is permitted. 
   
• Help/Assistance
  If you need any help or advice on how to use our site, please contact one of the Admin team members, Pat, Jenny, Mike, Michael, Roy or Colin (Chippy) (who’s names appear in red) or any of the Moderators (who’s names appear in blue).  If you click on any one of their names in the Forum, you can go to their profile and send them a Private Message.   Any one of us will do what we can to help you.
