The Judges of the Cafe Choice Award are pleased to announce the fourth presentation of this highly rated award:

is awarded to member

Pekster

for his image

"Yellow Rock"

It is with pleasure that the Judges announce a Photography Cafe Choice Award to member Richard Peck (Pekster) and his fine image entitled "Yellow Rock".

Although the Judges try and look at images in their own context, as stand alone images, there are one or two photographers on the Cafe that upload consistently fine pictures time after time. Richard is one of these photographers and there are several that could have been nominated.

However the judges voted on this one excellent image, and are pleased that it won through.

Congratulations to Richard from the Judges.

If there is one thing that Richard is the top person at doing is finding a landscape with a great supporting foreground object. This picture is just one of the many fine examples of this compositional technique. It's no wonder that it works nearly every time.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments . TBH I had almost forgotten I had this shot in my gallery. We were taking an early trip over to Whitby to gather information for the PC meet in March 2007 and got there really early so decided to travel the extra couple of miles up the coast while the cafe's opened up fro brekkies. This was also the very first time I used my D200 in anger as I had only had it for about a week or so.

Its a great honour to be considered with such high regard to receive this award , and its all due to the many people who have given me inspiration and critique over the past 3 years or so on the Photog Cafe. Thanks to you all  Kiss_lg
