No pictures of me...because I care!

Well, I'm a bit tense right now.  Tonight I have a job, but not one like I've ever done before.  My doctor has seen some of my pictures and asked me to come photograph his band tonight!  Inside a pub, bad light but lots of hallogen lights on the stage I guess.  It will be interesting to see what I can pull off, but I'm rather nervous about it.

Oh, and Wayne, my youngest is Dec 6, mom's birthday is the day after Christmas, my dad is Jan 5th, and my husband is Jan 13th.  We have always made sure to give my mom a separate present for her birthday (the others are far enough away that they don't have to worry about it much).  We always make sure to wrap it in non-Christmas wrapping paper also.  She's a bit of a martyr so even though we usually try to get her to go out to dinner with us after Christmas, she typically says no and insists on leftovers (but then complains about it later too  Huh ) but we do try to make sure she gets some of her favourite cake on her birthday.  Tiernan was induced 2 weeks early, he was due on the 20th and I'm glad he doesn't have to deal with a Christmas birthday.  He wasn't induced because of that...he'd stopped moving completely and I had hypertension and gestational diabetes, but it all worked out for the best!   Smiley

Oh shoot.... done it again.... pressed the wrong key and lost all my writing....  ack   buck2

Anyways, hope there are some brownies left over.  I'll have a couple of pieces.... it is hard work posting a couple of fungi pics in the closeup/macro section.    Cheesy   Am looking for the one that I had posted in my early days.... hmmmm, got to be somewhere....  When I find it, I'll be thumbing through that guidebook on mushrooms to find out what kind it is.  I'll also have to acquire a guidebook on the wildflowers I find along these trails when we do our Wednesday morning walks.  Great to take pictures of these wonderful items but even better to know what they are called.

Great idea on the "Bookshelf".  There were some great articles and hope to see them again eventually.  Just hope the authors had made a backup of their own.

Well Anna sorry to hear about your misfortune with the D50.  Do keep us informed.  Hope they will be able to tell you what happened.  Glad to hear that you've still have a backup camera so you can still snap away.  Though it is not the same as shooting with the D50...   Sad

Well guess the administrators of this site are working their fingers to the bone getting this site and those with accounts back up.  Kudos to you guys for this site as is so soon after that terrible weekend.  All in good time we'll have our gallery and competitions back into the swing of things.   Group Wave

Well guess enough said.  Happy snapping everyone and continued good health to all.

Being a Nikon user Anna would appreciate any feed back on the service you get.
What is the problem with your D50 actually

Well, the AF on the kit lens won't work anymore, and the built-in flash won't fire either.... no matter what I do.  The icon for the flash on the top LCD panel doesn't even show when the flash is popped up.  Emailed Nikon UK, and they said send it on back......  Cry

Pat,
Its pronounced Chel ms Ford. The origin of the name is the ford over the River Chelmer - if you're interested or even if you are not!!

That's what I thought and how I pronounce it Steve.

You wouldn't believe how they pronounce it in Northern Ontario.
