Hi All,

I am looking for some advice on shooting indoor 5-a-side football. I use a Canon EOS 400D with a 28-90mm (from my old 35mm EOS) and a Speedlite 550EX flash to shoot this:

Exposure Time: 1/200 sec
FNumber: f 16
Focal length: 54 mm
ISO: 1600

There is a bit of noise (due to the high ISO), I am looking for any tips to improve my shots. The flash was strugling to recharge as the batteries were not new!

My suggestions would be:
1) Get on a level with the players, you seem to be shooting down on this shot.

2) Open the aperture up and use the DOF to isolate the subject from the background, this will give the oppertunity for a faster shutter speed to freeze the action.

3) A bit more focal length would help, to isolate the subject.

4) Avoid using flash if possible.
