Blessed are the meek for they shall inhibit the Earth.

Blessed are the young for they shall inherit the national debt.

Blessed are they that run around in circles, for they shall be known as wheels.

Coming soon - a new challenge for you!

Wide Angle Challenge

Wide angle photography isnít easily defined but letís keep it simple so everyone can join in. Just attach a wide angle lens to your DSLR or set your zoom to its widest focal length. If youíre using a bridge camera or compact camera set it to its widest setting and this will usually be 28mm or less. The wider you can go the more interesting your shots are likely to be so ultra wide or fisheye lenses will be ideal.

With wide angle lenses, you literally are getting the bigger picture. Objects usually look farther away and so one of the challenges is to ensure there is something to interest the viewer in the foreground. Wide angle lenses create distortion. This can be bad if you donít want it but great if you do! Theyíll also bring in overhead branches, the sun (and lens flare).

This challenge is completely open to your choice of subject but the main thing is please take new shots for the challenge rather than delving into your archives. Images taken over the last four weeks are acceptable if time or other pressures prevent you taking new ones.

Remember, this is a fun project! We'll be announcing it soon.
