As many of our folks know, our friend, Andi McGill (Ecce Signum) was a moderator on this site and recently he's been through a traumatic time in his life when he had to say "Farewell" to his beautiful daughter, Rose who succumbed to brain cancer.

I received a Private Message from Natalya (Talj) asking us to post this and I hope that many will go to the webpage and view the photos and keep track of this 1000 mile journey that the two of them (Talj and Ecce) are doing in Ecce's new car to raise money for the Cancer Fund in memory of Rose.

All the money raised through this campaign will be used to develop new and ongoing work in the J K Douglas Laboratories and the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology.

Hi all,

As some of you are aware, Andi's daughter, Rose, sadly passed away last November after a brave battle with a brain tumour.

Over the past couple of months we have been working on a way to raise money for Rose's Tribute fund. A few weeks ago I enlisted the help of a friend  and www.rosemcgill.co.uk is the result of our work.

I'd very much like you to take a few moments to visit the site, have a browse, leave a comment in the guestbook and maybe see if you can think of ways you can help us.

Thanks to all of you for reading.

All the best,

Natalya

Watch their Progress

With a bit of luck during the 3 days you will be able to track our position via the website...something to do with GPS and some fancy technology! :)So if you check in and see that we're passing....you better pop out with a flask and some sandwiches LOL

Great stuff you two - a marvellous enterprise for a most worthy cause in fitting memory of Rose.  Safe travelling and don't forget that 'refreshments' are available in Hertfordshire.  Smiley

Hi Pat, thanks for asking! We will not be taking part this year for various reasons but I have just realised I should have posted here about the project we are working on instead! I'll link to the page on our website that gives details and you can decide if it'd be best to post a new thread about it! Smiley
