In Shaun’s POTD we can see detail in the shadows as well as colour in the light. It is, therefore, a magnificent sunset as the eye would see it.

When the sun is low in the sky, a fine moisture in the air can spread the colours with unusual effect. cj1964 captured those pink tones nicely with a good foreground subject to support it.
