The best of both worlds?

I thought this new hybrid might amuse those of you who are firmly in either the Nikon or the Canon camp.....

I understood that Nikon lenses could be adapted to fit Canons but not the other way round. I'd never actually seen it done though.

And the downside for the Nikon crowd, they work better on Canon cameras (but still not as good as those lenses with the "red ring"), so for those who don’t get embarrassed easily they really do get the best of both worlds ...

Do you have one of the adapters that allows the Canon's focus confirmation to work?

No scoundrel, Graham decided that as this lens is so sharp and wide angle that he just sets it manually between 1 metre and a "short infinity".

I've thought about getting one of those adapters myself, but it would take a real advantage from the Nikon lens to offset the loss of auto focusing, even though I can manual focus through the magnifier in my live view.  (I have a Canon 40D also.)  I think I could live with the stopdown metering.
