Apart from the sharpness and good use of DOF, Mike’s POTD has a comic element that makes it endearing.

There is incredible detail in Keith’s POTD. With the blurring of the background the subject stands out despite all the colours being in the orange-brown region.

A place where they jump traffic lights to save seconds and wait patiently for hours on the first tee.

Until you’ve tried to capture any bird in flight you’ll not really appreciate how hard it is to do. Obviously Dee used a fast speed to help and that had the advantage of giving a large aperture to blur the background.
