Today’s POTD is all about timing and positioning. By getting the crop to include just the action, Keith captures the humorous element of the scene.
I once worked for a mean company. When I left, they gave me a lovely parting gift. It was a comb.

Puffins have such an amusing look to them anyway - and this pose just adds to the fun.  well done Keith! I find it interesting how our subject matter goes in waves, with todays cracker list being dominated by sea birds for instance. All lovely to see And it's particularly nice to see our new members appearing in the crackers list - keep ' em coming!  |

Pipeman found the right level to get that sunset shot. It was low enough to make the plant silhouette a dominant feature but high enough to get the horizon in and set the scene as being coastal.
I was once a conductor. I knew more musicians than you could shake a stick at.

Another beautiful coastal shot - I wish I could get to the seaside  Am really enjoying seeing all these different places folks are visiting. We have rain at last and nice steady stuff that will soak in to our parched garden no watering for me today. I've made some more cupcakes to share - please enjoy one with your coffee ( sugar free for Chocky, low fat, high fibre, even  for Jenny - take your pick Ooh more thunder. May be About to lose Internet again... |

Some might think that Pete’s POTD lacks a foreground subject and then be wondering why it still works so well. The answer is that the play of light IS the subject of the photo. It is the delight of seeing the reflection of the sunset fragmented by the strips of sand. The picture captures the vast emptiness of the area in the sculpture of the wind and the waves.
Cupcakes ... mmmm. Thunder .... ooooh!
I was shopping for a car and asked the salesman the sticker price. He said $200. 'Not much for a car,' I said. 'The car's extra,' he said.
