This is not so much a competition but more of a by-product of our daily POTD voting.

Each day all our members can vote for photos in the Gallery using the stars. Whether a person gives a photo 1 star or 10 stars, the vote counts towards the total as ONE vote. Every day (at roughly 24-hour intervals) the photo which received the most votes becomes the Photo Of The Day.

At the start of each month, the full set of POTDs (from the previous month) are compiled into the POTM list. Members are then given a week to vote for their favourite POTD. The one with the most votes is then declared as the POTM.
