Anita’s POTD demonstrates how a foreground subject takes a nice sky to the level of a spectacular sky. The tree provides extra contrast which makes the sky appear to glow more.

Today’s POTD is a classic composition of the Dunstanburgh approach. The ultra-wide DOF is essential to make the glistening stones a strong foreground subject. A slower shutter speed makes the sea a creamy blur as it moves within the stones.
