Whilst we applaud the top 3 deserved winners, let's not forget that we had 31 winners in the list. With so many entries in a competition and a (deliberate) restriction to a single vote, there is always a strong chance of people getting no votes at all. But we must remember that each entry was a winner in October.
These are three great top places that reflect the excellent standards of this site. I'm sure that many people were relieved that their second choice was in a higher position than the one they voted for.

They show that it IS possible to work with animals and children...  many people were relieved that their second choice was in a higher position than the one they voted for. That's a very cryptic comment Al, can't say I can figure that one out at all! |

Half the people who voted, picked pictures that didn't get more than 3 votes. Everyone probably had a second choice in mind when they voted and I bet the second choice was (in the majority of those cases) one of the top three. |
