A nice mix of subjects in this Parade.
For me, the best shot is "I'm the Big Sister" which conveys the feeling she has. The cartoon giraffe in the wallpaper pops up in the perfect place!

Great variety and congrats on a marvellous parade of pics Pete. I like Light Speed - reminds me of how I feel after a hard day on the golf course!

A lovely set of pictures Pete. I love the colours in the parrot and the big sister image has great appeal. I also like the shoes because it's different.

Pete-I'm often attracted to your shots in the Galleries and have commented on quite a few so it's so nice to get the chance to see some I've obviously missed along the way! Of the ones we can see here, 'Thea the Guard Cat' and 'Here Kitty Kitty' stand out for me. Thea because you've caught her personality so well and that expression makes me smile every time I see it! Kitty because the power and the texture of the animal comes over so well. On looking through your album my eye was immediately drawn to 'A Study in Timing' In fact you have many shots of flamingoes which are unusual and eye catching. I'm particularly drawn to the humour in your titles and shots too! One I really like and remember commenting on is your 'Ship Ropes in a Yard'. So simple and so suited to b/w. As I'm typng this I realize just what a wide variety of shots you are capable of taking! Look forward to seeing many more!

If you post a shot in the Gallery, please stop a few moments and leave a comment or two on some shots you see. It's so encouraging to get comments.

Hi Pete, So nice to see your images featured in the "Photoparade" this week. a wide ranging variety of shots here, but I see a definate accent on wildlife. The light and raised feathers of your Macaw shot, plus the vivid colour, makes it really hit you between the eyes. I admire your courage in getting the wasp nest shot.....or was it a massive telephoto... an interesting natural history shot anyway, however you got it. An amusing title for the Tortoise shot, but actually this is one of my favourites, a lovely comp and portrait. I could go on ages about the various images, but suffice to say keep em coming mate, we love to see em

A great selection here, Pete. Congratulations. My favourite is Purple, I like the way you included three flower heads but kept 2 out of focus. Waterfall of a Different Sort comes a close second.

Ok, the waterfall picture would be SO fun to steal (I won't, I haven't stolen even a pen on purpose since I was 2 and learned that stealing was bad) and take a picture of a kid, turn them into a fairy and stick them on one of the rocks. It is perfect for one of those type manipulations I think.
I love the tortise shot. Poor thing looks like it just finished a 1 F (as opposed to a 1 K) race and is exhausted.
I also like how you managed to get the background behind the big sister picture to have the giraffe looking over her shoulder. Very cute...though not as cute as the kids. =)

Great selection of shots Pete ~ nice to see someone who likes variety! I love the Purple shot - and the Shoes shot is brilliant - not just the photo but the idea - plus, no doubt, it will have memory attachments from the occasion too

Super variety of different subjects in your gallery Pete.
There are two in particular that really catch my eye and those are the very steamy looking "Waterfall of a different sort" and "Purple" very nice shot.
Keep up the good work .

Hi Pete! A nice variety of different subjects. My fave being the "Ruffled Feathers", being a wood carver I can relate to the challenge of trying to carve one like this! Second place goes to the Tortoise shot, gives me a laugh, there are times when I just feel like that!! And the "Waterfall of a Different Sort" is my third choice, love the mist and hope someday I get something similar. Look forward to many more!! Ross

I have been away for a few days and stumbled on this surprise........ I am not sure who does the selection for this Honor but I am certain that there are more deserving photographers than I. Photography is an art that is truly in the eye of the beholder. I am grateful that you have put my simplistic works on parade and I am overwhelmed by the comments. This could not have come a better point in my life as the day to day difficulties are diminished by this gift. To all that have commented, a heartfelt thank you and a KafeKarma point to each and all. After I compose myself, I will comment further. of joy.

Hi Pete, a great showcase to look through. My favourite is the waterfall but Ruffled Feathers and Purple come a close joint second.
