Nicholas has only been with us less than a week and has done exceptionally well with this beautiful image of balloons in early flight. So early that the lights in distant houses are still on. This is one of those photographs that has to be viewed large because the subtle detail in the shadows gets lost when seen at 400 pixels or less. To get the boats at a point where they are so perilously close to the water means that the reflections are so much more defined.
The florist was also a bad speller. A politician returning from a national convention had a lot of explaining to do. The card that came with her flowers read, "Having the time of my life--wish you were her."

Good morning everyone
Tea's in the pot I've found some pain au chocolat left over from the other day and freshened them up in the oven so that should keep people going for a little while. Mmm, they're very good, lots of chocolate in mine!
A lovely colourful PotD from Nicholas and nicely set against that lovely castle too.
A lovely morning down in the southwest (UK) I've been on a walk down to and along the river to catch some of that lovely morning light. Both computers came on saying the screens need recalibrating so I'll do that when they've warmed up a bit. I think the grass needs cutting so I'll get that done.
