An award long overdue in my opinion. A superbly created image that hits the evolutionary spot in the brain. Its an image that deserves to be seen by a wider audience and I hope that it has been entered in some big competition somewhere. A sure fire winner against ANY professional togs image. I'm proud to be able to view and speak on the image

One of the most convincing pieces of photo-processing that I've seen. It has the look of a prehistoric scene.

Art is a selective re-creation of reality according to an artist's metaphysical value-judgments. An artist recreates those aspects of reality which represent his fundamental view of man's nature. So now you know!

Thank goodness Backbeat had the vision to realise what could be achieved when he saw the original shot, or none of us would have had the privelidge of seeing a most remarkable piece of photoshop imagineering which enhanced an already superb subject.
A fine addition to the "Cafe Choice Award" and as Brian says it should be seen by a far wider audience and sell in its millions.
Many congratulations Backbeat

Oh wow-so well deserved Phil! I remember this amazing piece so well. It is the sensitive way it's been handled which got to me.

Ok, I SWEAR I posted in here...drat. Anyhoo...congratulations! I just love the lighting on the chimps and the treatment gives them the too infrequently felt freedom that we don't get to see in most pictures.
