Jeanne, you never know what feast you're going to enjoy in here with our Karen supplying it to us.  We get the best Scottish fare!

I'm sorry but I'm back from London a bit early but it was not a good trip.  But as I've told Jenny, it was also a wonderful trip to see that school honour my cousin in the way that they did.  I'm afraid I won't see my cousin again.  Sad

Yes, they put it on her.  And purple sheets and pillow cases.

That must have really been something to see.  How kind and thoughtful the school officials were to do this for her.   Wink

Before I lose y'all.... thanks (I think) for posting that question in the proper place.... & I bookmarked to find my way back.  Thanks for the explaination of the name, and would you two quit bouncing me around for now???   Cheesy Cheesy Shocked

Pat, I just talked to Janet, she's worn to a nub & was going to eat and rest tonight.  I suggested she get a mouse with that new laptop & it won't seem such a stranger..... and she'll call over the week end when she's in the hospital where she can use their free wi-fi instead of the card she bought... and if we can't work it out with me on my computer & her on hers... I will pack mine up & go see her. She had a call from Larry Hanna & he also suggested getting a mouse. Her daughter wasn't doing well tonight so it's depressing when they all are so exhausted already. I think she said Darrel is going home tomorrow.  Hope they didn't have damage from the large hail that was north of the town they live in... she said they live on the south end.  That hail was baseball to golfball size so did some damage to crops, I'm sure.

She did get into the photography site (I think she means this one?).... could read the posts but it wouldn't let her have the reply box.  She needs someone to see why she can't login.  She also hasn't been able to get her e-mail and I can't help her with that because I use Yahoo that can be picked up anywere on any computer.  If we can't work that out I will talk her into getting a Yahoo account because I can deal with that one better than G-mail or Hotmail (have both).

I am sorry about your sad news with your cousin, Pat,...   Must have been an emotional day for you.

Tisie, it's great that you're close enough to give Janet some hands-on help if she needs it.  And it's great of you to take the time.

Just so everyone realizes I'm not a "photographer"...  I'm a point and shoot "picture taker".  And believe me, there's a difference!   2funny

hehe me too! welcome

 Kiss

To me, the difference between a casual photographer and a beginning photographer isn't one of experience or expertise but of attitude.  The casual photographer is interested in photography as mainly as a means of recording and documenting people and events but is not really interested in photography as a hobby.  The beginning photographer is more interested in photography for its own sake.  This doesn't imply any more skill or better results than the casual photographer, at least at first; but the beginner is more likely to improve eventually.

Many of you know what I've been going through since my cousin's daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor on Mar. 25/09.  She's 18 and now the school and all of her teachers planned the graduation ceremony in the hospital today.  They had a programme and all students were in their caps and gowns and there was one just for Rachael as well.  She received several special awards and was very highly thought of by her teachers and principal and vice principals.  There were no dry eyes today.

Just thought I'd post this class photo from my sad journey to London today.

Those kids really love Rachael as they surround her bedside.

I will be uploading many photos that I took into Rachael's website at:

Rachael's Journey

Thank you!  I'm so excited it made POTD.  I'm hopeful I may get to be a tolerable landscape photographer yet!

Pat, nice seeing that picture, I'm sure it really meant a lot to her family to have them do that for her.  I hope she enjoyed it too.
