This reminds me of the debate on how to pronounce the word "SCONE."

Apparently, when it is still on the plate, then it's "scoan."
But, when you've eaten it, it's "sconn."

A day or two later, it will then be called fat.

Hi Karen
Thanks for the recipe, Thumb Up I will give it a try at the weekend when I do my next batch, only made some yesterday, when you say all purpose flour do you mean Plain Flour or Self Raising. currently I use a mixture of 8oz plain flour and 4oz Corn flour.

Thanks

Ron Thumb Up

P.S Next thing to put on the cafe menu is some Scottish Toast. Wink

Once again the style of the POTD is simplicity. This time the subject is not on the Thirds because it demands to be central. Why? Because, like bridges and piers, it is symmetrical. The point at which the lens was focussed, and the DOF used, have left the fine 'hairs' pin-sharp whilst leaving just a hint of the stem for context.

Hopefully - you all got some Coffee today before I woke up - I just had the one (OK then 2!!)
after work before I went to bed for the morning - so I don't think I depleted the resourses!!

Karen - if she is good at IT couldn't you get her to set up different log in's so your settings
are kept?? - Just a suggestion - I don't personally like that at home, but it could be an
answer as lots of people find it better that way...

I'm having my second cup of coffee.

Then I'm driving to London.  I have to be at the hospital at 2 pm so I'm going to leave here about 11 am.  I've got about 1 3/4 hr. before I pull out.

Now, usually I love my coffee but nothing goes with Scottish Shortbread like a lovely cup of tea!  Thumb Up

I found y'all and even got in, been a very long time!  Love the dancers, Pat... not sure the connection to, but St.Louis/East St.Louis was always full of music (name at the end of video).  I grew up in Sedalia, MO, 200 miles away, where Scott Joplin lived & created.  Had a grand tour of the music joints in St.Louis when a good friend's cousins that live there, took us. The music during intermission was what New Orleans was noted for, pure jazz, not what you danced to!

Hello, Jeanne... don't see many names I recognize.  Love the Anniversary photo, Pat... and Congratulations! ... Tisie/Shirley

Jeanne, I'll enjoy eating anything I don't have to bake, and your offering sounds good to me!  I baked jalapeno cornbread to go with home made veggie/beef soup for lunch.  I put about half a can of green chilies & half a can of chopped jalapenos, along with an ear of corn cooked & cut off the cob & the rest of the recipe on the box of Martha White's mix (half the mix).  I bake like other southern cornbread, in a very hot cast iron skillet (dancing oil) & bake in the oven. Got the recipe from Ruth Ann in Nashville.  Thumb Up Yummmmy!

I visited the "How to"... but didn't see any answer to my problem.  I was wanting to "click for larger" on the photos I just posted but didn't know how to do it in here.  I have the code from Pat for the other site but I use PhotoBucket with it.  Do I upload the larger as well as smaller the same in here?  I always enjoy the larger files when viewing and appreciate everyone's extra work to make it possible.

EDIT: Scratch that question.... I just tried the click for larger on my photo and by golly, it works automatically!  Now that's really uptown, folks!
